I miss this place especially John and Lisa. Wish I could find them again

What a gem! I am here on a work trip and stumbled upon this very cozy inn and restaurant. I love German food and boy did Vienna produce! The homely motif includes a crackling fireplace. The German beers and excellent fare were simply outstanding. I would recommend Vienna to anyone visiting or for a romantic evening out. You can't find cozy places like this often

I just loved the place. After living in Europe specifically Germany and Austria. We stayed over 2 nights and the beds were very comfortable in the cozy room. So European feeling. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Stellar hospitality abounds at The Vienna. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to a warm welcome and made feel so comfortable in the cozy atmosphere. Lots of great drinks to choose from including craft beer (a personal favorite). The menu offered some delicious choices but the specials were too tempting! There was a dessert for every sweet tooth. Will definitely return.

We loved Vienna when we went last week! We ate there on a Thursday night and for a while we were the only table occupied. I was a little surprised that they were not busier for dinner. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and overly attentive. We tried the Brie appetizer which was great. We each had a glass of German white wine, which paired well with our meals. I've been craving authentic German food, and this place hit the spot. Their Wiener Schnitzel was very authentic, the spaetzle was as well! They graciously created a full size portion of an appetizer for my moms dinner. We got a slice of the apple strudel to split which unfortunately was a bit cold, it would have been better warmed up. Overall great experience and I can't wait to go back for more Schnitzel!

If you like authentic German food, this is a hidden gem. A former house, it has been transformed into a quaint, comfortable restaurant. I started with the Wursts Platter, excellent, and had the Pork Shank dinner... excellent. The food was outstanding, the service was phenomenal, and it was an outstanding atmosphere. I almost forgot I was in the US, like I was back in Germany. I'd definitely recommend and would come back again if in the region.

Still a solid restaurant! I hadn't been here since my last review 2 years ago, and they've updated the look and feel of the place a bit. Our server told us that they were on a TV show that updated the design, and I'm glad that they didn't lose their unique style! This place has charm in spades, especially if you can sit by the fireplace. I was gigging nearby with some musicians from Austria, Greece, and the Czech Republic, so we thought we'd head over here for dinner and some drinks. It was great! The food tastes just like it does in Europe. Good quality ingredients, cooked properly, and served in normal sized portions. This ins't one of those places that will give you an enormous bowl full of low quality food. I got a type of schnitzel that was on special that night, but most of our table went for Sauerbraten, and this place nailed the dish! I thinkwe all agreed though that the apfelstrudel stole the show. Not too sweet, some nice rum flavor. It was perfect. It's so rare to find deserts in the US that aren't overly sweet, but this was amazing. We all felt like we were back in Europe! This place is worth the visit, if you're in the area. We only had a hour ride back to where we were staying, but we were all tempted to get some more drinks and stay the night.

BEAUTIFUL. Simply beautiful hidden gem in the burbs. I can't blog the food yet, because we came to chill by the fire, get a tour of the place and have a nightcap. So I will reserve full stars for the food review, when we get a chance to eat! That said, diners eating had huge portions of authentic and hearty german fare (that smelled AMAZING). We had a tour of rooms exquisitely antiqued. Sigmund Freud's typewriter, a gift from Clark University, is proudly and quietly displayed in one of their comfortable rooms. The owners are simply scrumptious people, that are in love with what they do, and go out of their way to please. A night stay will include breakfast, a welcome drink/cocktail and an hors-d'oeuvres. Who knew?! WHO KNEW!?

Decided to try this hometown establishment. Not disappointed. The afternoon got off a bit shaky as the hostess took a bit to notice that we had walked in. But after that things were very nice. We were looked after and the suggestions on the food orders were spot on. Our waitress, Whitney even made me a drink that she contrived herself. Simple syrup that was steeped with fresh violets mixed with a shot of vodka. Very yummy. The Jaeger Schnitzel was fantastic. And the torte we had for dessert was scrumptious. Over all a wonderful Sunday afternoon. Only draw back was it was pricey for being in a small town. But the portions were amble.

Our first visit to the restaurant was on Thanksgiving, as we were in Southbridge for the holidays. There were many seasonal and New England choices, as well as traditional Thanksgiving dinner of turkey with a few Austrian twists. The food was great and we really enjoyed the cozy, homey ambiance. We liked it so much that we came back the following night to enjoy the authentic Austrian food. It was delicious and we were not disappointed. The meals were long and the servers gave us time rather than trying to turn tables. Thanksgiving service was a bit slow, but to be fair, it was packed. This didn't bother us very much, as we would have had a long meal at home anyway. If we come back to the Southbridge area, I know this will surely be a stop for us. We really loved the food, ambiance and servers.
